Paytable
In Sweet Bonanza, symbols don’t have to appear on any paylines, adjacent reels or next to each other as in most slot machines. They can appear anywhere on the reels. As long as enough identical symbols show up, you win. Here’s how’s much:
| Symbol | 8 – 9 matches | 10 – 11 matches | 12+ matches |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red Candy | 10x | 25x | 50x |
| Purple Candy | 2.5x | 10x | 25x |
| Green Candy | 2x | 5x | 15x |
| Blue Candy | 1.5x | 2x | 12x |
| Apple | 1x | 1.5x | 10x |
| Plum | 0.8x | 1.2x | 8x |
| Melon | 0.5x | 1x | 5x |
| Grape | 0.4x | 0.9x | 4x |
| Banana | 0.25x | 0.75x | 2x |
In addition to the above, Sweet Bonanza also has a lollipop scatter symbol that not only triggers the free spin feature of the game, but also pays 3x, 5x or 100x for landing, 4, 5, or 6 symbols.
Bonus Features
Sweet Bonanza offers the following two feature mechanics:
- Tumble on Win
- Free Spins
Tumble on Win
On every winning spin in the slot, all the symbols that were part of a win will be removed from the grid and replaced by new ones. This allows for new winning combinations to be made, which in turn would also be replaced by new symbols.
The best thing about this feature is that there is no upper limit to the possible tumbles. As long as enough identical symbols show up to provide a win, the tumble feature goes on.
Free Spins
In Sweet Bonanza, players are awarded 10 free spins when 4 or more scatter symbols land anywhere on the reels. As these spins are played, 5 additional ones are awarded every time 3 scatters show up.
The highlight of the feature is a special multiplier symbol that can show up to massively boost winnings. This will have a random multiplier value attached to it. Either 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, or 100x.
When a multiplier symbol shows up, it will stay on the reels for that entire spin, including all its tumbles. It will then multiply all winnings that were earned.
It’s possible for several multiplier symbols to show up, either at once or during tumbles. When this happens, the value of all multiplier symbols is added together and then applied to the total win of the spin.
As an example, you could have a spin where 12 heart symbols show up (which initially pay 50x), along with a 100x multiplier symbol. The reels then tumble and another 100x multiplier symbol appears. Your 50x win would now be multiplied by 200x, resulting in a massive 10,000x win.
Double Chance and Bonus Buy
To increase the chance of triggering the free spin feature, Sweet Bonanza offers a double chance switch on the user-interface. When enabled, each spin costs 25% more than the selected stake and makes it twice as likely for the free spin feature drop.
The bonus can also be instantly triggered via a bonus buy feature by paying 100 times the chosen bet amount. Not at UKGC-casinos though as this feature has been banned by the UK Gambling Commission. However, casinos licensed in other jurisdictions will offer it.
RTP and Volatility
Pragmatic Play has scored Sweet Bonanza 3.5 out of 5 on volatility which is surprisingly low considering the fact that up to 21,175x can be won in the slot. This means that you shouldn’t have to wait too long for a decent-sized win, while always having the chance to hit that one-of-a-kind bonus game that will bring in the big moolah. Of course, luck always plays a role and in the long run you are bound to lose so don’t traverse the slot expecting to win.
In terms of RTP, the slot comes in three configurations that are all quite high; 95.45%, 96.48% or 96.49%. What’s important to note is that online casinos can choose from these configurations as they please, which means that one casino might run the higher 96.49% RTP of the game, while another runs the lower 95.45% configuration.
Graphics and Sound
Sweet Bonanza’s graphics are by no means comparable to the most visually stunning slots as the use of animations are quite limited and simple. However, the symbols are crisp and thanks to the bright and mixed colors of red, green, yellow, blue and purple that permeate this slot, it is still pretty pleasing to the eye. What’s more, it instills a lovely, positive feeling inside of you.
This uplifting characteristic is also much thanks to the music which is soothing and playful at the same time. It perfectly fits the candy-land theme of Sweet Bonanza. It’s what we imagine ice cream trucks and candy stores would be playing to attract customers.
